A: You may try to post a want ad. Potential sellers can contact you, in which case you will receive a notification in your message center inbox and copy via email

Q: I typed my course title, but nothing comes up?
A: The search engine only works with ISBN, or book title and author

A: Pass the word around. Tell your friends about our services, and post flyers printed from RCampus's Book Exchange. We also automatically include free ads randomly on the find book web page. Books that are advertized for less than 80% of the cover price are labeled "Great Buy" rather than "Book for Sale"

A: Not at this time. We currently only provide advertising services and do not get involved in transactions

Q: Can you handle the transaction for me?
A: Not at this time. We currently only provide advertising services and do not get involved in transactions

Q: Can I auction my book here?
A: Book exchange does not provide those services. To increase the chance of selling your textbooks, you may try both our services as well as online auctions

Q: How do I return a book?
A: The Book Exchagne service is not a store. All transactions are between the buyer and seller at your full responsibility. To avoid inconveniences, please verify the book is correct prior to the purchase. Please inspect the book thoroughly to make sure it is not missing pages, or accompanying materials such as a CD

Q: The seller or buyer is not in my local area, how can I guarantee shipment or payment?
A: You may try USPS's Collect On Delivery or similar services. Please note that RCampus does not get involved in transactions, nor is affiliated with or endorses any of the services mentioned. Please do your due diligence

Q: How would I know if there is a potential buyer for my book?
A: Currently the only way to know is when the buyer contacts you, in which case you will receive an email notification

Q: Can I put my personal information (email, phone) in the ad?
A: It's fully up to you. Although to protect your privacy, we do not recommend that. When someone tries to contact you, you will receive a notification from us by email. Please note that our messaging system is fully confidential and will not reveal any of your personal information

Q: Why do you suggest to use a flyer when I'm selling my books online?
A: To increase the chances of selling your book. Flyers reach a different group of audience that may not know about our services, or may not be computer savvy. We suggest you use our flyers to not only help promote this free service, but also to help you protect your personal contact information from unwanted use

A: Book Exchange is not a school specific service, and does not perform searches by school names. To provide you with a larger selection, we list books by estimated distance from you, based on your zip code

Q: I've sold my book, what should I do next?
A: Please go to my books, click on the book title, and check the box labeled "Sold or no longer for sale" and press save

Q: I posted a book, but nobody has contacted me. What am I doing wrong?
A: You may have priced the book too high. Or it may be that there are not much demand for your book at the moment. To increase your chances of selling your book, you may print our flyers and post them close to classes that use that book

Q: I can't find the ISBN on the book. What should I do?
A: Some books do not have an ISBN. To eliminate the chance of duplicate records, we only allow books with ISBN to be posted. However, before giving up on finding the ISBN, please make sure you have looked for it in all possible places (inside the book where the copyright informaion is, or close to the barcode inside or outside the cover)

Q: Can I exchange software or other course materials via Book Exchange?
A: Not at this time. You can only post books with an ISBN
